Tenzin Metok

Tenzin Metok (meaning Flower) is the founder of the Medicine Buddha App. A lawyer by training, and a banking professional with over 10+ years corporate experience. She has spent exactly half her life in the East and half in the West- born and raised in Kollegal Tibetan settlement in India and educated in USA, Germany and the UK. She lives in London with her husband and three young children. Her Tibetan horoscope predicted she would have four children. Medicine Buddha App is her fourth baby.

 

Tenzin Kunkyab

Tenzin Kunkyab

Tenzin Kunkyab( Kun meaning everyone or everywhere, and kyab meaning spread ) is a software engineer from Bangalore, India. Has a masters in Computer Applications, but believes he will most probably retire as a carpenter. He has worked 7+ years at early stage startups and a medium sized multinational company.

 

Lobsang Ngodup

Lobsang Ngodup

Lobsang Ngodup ( meaning noble hearted) is an Advisor to the Medicine Buddha App, having met our founder as finalists for a Tibetan Entrepreneur competition. He served as President of the Tibetan Chamber of Commerce. As a serial social Entrepreneur, he draws upon 30+ years running businesses in Manufacturing, Trading, Education, Real Estate, and Hospitality when providing advisory and consultation services for businesses (like Medicine Buddha) and NGOs (pro bono). Educated at a Catholic School and holding a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, he was once the youngest Managing Director for a carpet manufacturer and exporter company in Nepal.

 

Namgyal Sonam

Namgyal Sonam

Namgyal Sonam ( meaning Victorious and Lucky) was born in Bylakkupe Tibetan settlement and studied in Bangalore where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts. He worked 18 years in the corporate world in India, from Head of Department of Training for India to Risk Management, Quality Control, Customer Service, Telemarketing, and Auditing. Nam loves driving, particularly Delhi to Coorg (a journey of 2500 Kms which he drives over 44 hours) . He loves travelling and cooking and trying different cuisines and exploring new places. He speaks 8 different languages and upholds Buddhism teachings in everyday life.

Namgyal Qusar

Namgyal Qusar

Namgyal Qusar ( meaning Victorious and Lucky) is a teacher, researcher and clinical practitioner of Tibetan Medicine. He graduated from the Institute of Tibetan Medicine (Men-tsee-khang) College in 1987 with Kachupa Degree (analogous to MBBS) and then with Menrampa Degree (analogous to MD) in 1997 and was awarded a Gold Medal from the Board of Alternative Medicine in India. He previously served as Deputy Director of Research & Development Department at Men-Tsee-Khang, the official Institute for Tibetan Astro-Medical Sciences in India where he pioneered the development of health products line called Sorig. He has also served as the General Secretary and Registrar of the Tibetan Medicine regulatory body, the Central Council of Tibetan Medicine based in India.

Tenzin Zega

Tenzin Zega

Tenzin Zega ( meaning Beautiful and Loving) was born and raised in Bylakkupe Tibetan settlement. Upon graduation, she worked for four years as an Assistant Research Analyst for a British Fund Management Company in New Delhi. Later she moved to the UK and did a postgraduate diploma in Media Studies at Westminster University. After a year at the BBC World Service as an intern and Sub-Editor, she worked for a Tibetan NGO for three years before she became a mother to her three children and later to two foster children. She has a keen interest in ancient Indian culture and loves reading hagiographies of Tibetan Buddhist masters from the past.
